NAIROBI

1. NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK
• Nairobi boasts of being the only city in the world to have a national park in the neighborhood.
• The city was originally part of the national park but from the arrival of Mombasa – Nairobi Railway Line, increased human activities and settlement, pushed back the park to the current boundaries.
• 7kms away, one can take a 15minutes drive to the main gate then enjoy a 3 – 4hours game drive to witness a whole package of the big five roaming freely through the grass savanna together with other host of animals.

2. DAVID SHELDRICK WILDLIFE FUND
• For over 40 years, The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, popularly known as The Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage has been the leading wildlife conservation center.
• Staying focused to protect, preserve and conserve wildlife and habitats has kept the center to be a household name in East Africa.
• Interested visitors to the center must book on line in advance for a daily 1hour (11am – 12pm) feeding period to interact closely with the animals as the attendants feed them.

3. GIRAFFE CENTRE
• As an environmental conservation center, preserving the endangered giraffe is part of their initiative.
• Open daily from 9am – 5pm, one will have the closest interaction with the giraffes as you hold and feed them
• One can as well choose to have breakfast with the giraffes by checking into The Giraffe Manor and be ready to welcome them at 6:30am for breakfast.

4. NGONG HILLS
• On the ridge of Rift Valley, it offers a spectacular view of the great rift valley on one side and the Nairobi city / National Park on the other.
• Best for hiking and Zip lining activities.

5. KARURA FOREST
• A natural Forest with indigenous trees covers a wide area just in the out skirts of the city center.
• Best for jogging, walking and cycling trails as you experience the cool fresh air, encounter magnificent clean water falls and a variety of bird species.

6. NAIVASHA TRIP
• About 2hrs drive from Nairobi, Naivasha allows a day trip right inside the great rift valley.
• Lake Naivasha offers an opportunity for boat rides amidst the Hippo infested waters then crown it with a visit to the Hells gate National Park.
• Named after a narrow break in the cliffs, the Hells Gate is fully equipped with wild animals, Geothermal stations, 2 towers famous for rock climbing or choose to cycle through.
